Final debate writing

 After reading the St Lucy's Home For Girls Raised By Wolves my thoughts on the story is that it does show how selfish humans can be because throughout the story the wolf-girls are learning how to be human and in doing so you can see how selfish they got because they wanted higher skill points or they wanted to be the better wolf-girl.  Not only do they get selfish, but they also turned their backs on each other. What a betrayal. But most importantly they turned their backs on their youngest sister Mirabella.  Throughout the story Mirabella showed that she was slow to adapt unlike her other sisters and selfishly not one of her sisters stepped up to help her, instead they picked on her and left her behind to fend for herself. In stage 2 Mirabella was told to "lick your own wounds" getting totally abandoned by her sister to take care of herself. While reading this i felt that even though Mirabella wasn't adapting as fast as the others, i think they should've at least tried to teacher her and help her start to adapt but because they were so selfishly fixated on themselves and being better they didn't even think to help her leaving her by herself.

What is assimilation?

 Some might ask "What is assimilation?" well assimilation is when you get rid of what makes you unique, different and/or special to fit in with the majority norm. For example, you can stop speaking the language you originally spoke and start speaking the language everyone else is speaking just for the very fact that you want to fit in or because you think 'its the norm so why not?' It can also be that you stop wearing your cultural clothes and start wearing "normal" clothing like everyone else. People do this because they want to be accepted and in order to feel accepted they give up the most essential part of themselves, the part that makes them different.    I think that students should not have to or feel like they have to give up their cultural identity because that's what makes them different and unique and moving to a different environment shouldn't require them to have to change that about themselves.
